DeltaSpace
My name is Farid Jaaffar.
I provide growth-focused coaching, facilitation sessions
and training workshops for professionals.
My Approach
I am a growth-focused coach, social worker and learning facilitator with close to two decade’s worth of clinical, supervisory and leadership experience in Singapore’s social service sector.
I believe that every individual has the ability to harness Change, using it as a powerful catalyst to achieve personal growth.
I use my own framework for professional coaching, which emphasises three key Processes - Expand the Mind, Commit to Change and Reflect on the Journey.
This framework is rooted in Motivational Interviewing, systemic perspectives, family therapy and life coaching techniques.
Coaching Services
I provide various coaching and supervision services for individuals and professionals from various industries.
Sessions are typically conducted online, last for 60-75 minutes and are priced at affordable rates.
-
This is a skills-based approach to supervision which emphasises clinical strategies used during client conversations.
Supervisees will practise clinical techniques during real-plays and role plays, to help them better prepare for sessions with clients.
-
This supervision platform focuses on formulating case assessments and conceptualising case interventions using a systemic approach to casework.
I guide practitioners to craft effective helping approaches and help them to process their own values and beliefs about their cases.
-
This supervision platform is tailored for practitioners who have been recently promoted to a leadership position.
The emphasis of this supervision platform is discussing about supervisees’ struggles and aspirations in their new leadership roles.
-
Also known as meta-supervision, this supervision platform is for practitioners who are supervising colleagues, interns or newly onboarded staff.
Practitioners will receive feedback about how their supervision styles interact with their supervisees’ learning needs.
-
While many practitioners receive clinical supervision for casework and counselling, fewer get the chance to be clinically supervised in their group work facilitation.
This niche form of supervision is based on my own STRATE6IES facilitation method. Within this framework, I impart skills on how to effectively and efficiently facilitate group work sessions.

Learn the fundamentals of Motivational Interviewing (MI), infused with systemic perspectives of helping and guiding others.
MI is a collaborative conversational approach focused on evoking clients’ intrinsic motivation for change. This approach is used by various professionals in the social services and healthcare industries, helping practitioners journey with clients as they grapple with Change.
Systemic-MI suggests that in order for Change to be effective and long-lasting, it must happen not just within clients, but also in the interpersonal, social and macro-systems that they reside in.
